Christian County Farm Bureau

In memory of Leonard C. Douglas, a former education and former president of the Christian County farm Bureau, this scho;larship is offered to graduating High School seniors enrolling in a 2-4 year college or tech school whose family household has been a member of the Farm Bureau for one year. See Ms. Murray for application.

Deadline: February 28, 2020.

Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarships

Seven $1000 scholarships to go toward tuition and college expenses will be given to students entering college. Apply at 2020 MBF Scholarship Application PDF.

 

Amco Ranger Scholarship

Scholarship is given to a graduating senior who has exhibited volunteerism during high school. Application can be made at https://amcoranger.com/amco-ranger-scholarship/. The scholarship is for $1000.

Deadline: May 30, 2020

Educational Community Credit Union Scholarship

ECCU awards students enrolled in post-secondary opportunities. Criteria includes being a senior in high school, participating in post-secondary studies, including professional, vocational and academic studies not limited to colleges and universities. Must be a member of the credit union. See Ms. Murray for an application.

Deadline: March 6, 2020.

The Patriot Guard Riders Scholarship

The Patriot Guard Riders of Missouri are offering four scholarships to Missouri students who are sons or daughters of those who fall within the following categories:

(1) Those who have given their lives in the line of duty, including both military and first responder (police/fire)

(2) Those honorably discharged veterans who have passed after their term of service

(3) Those veterans or first responders disabled in the line of duty to the extent that providing an advanced education cannot be easily realized

These scholarships are non-renewable, and consist of one award in the amount of $2,000, and three awards in the amount of $1,000 each, to be awarded to four deserving Missouri students to help defray cost at any accredited institution of higher learning, including vocational and business schools.

Dr. Darrell "Jack Holley/MUSIC Scholarship

Six $2000 scholarships (non-renewable) will be awarded to students who graduate in 2020 from high schools in MUSIC member districts. ONE application accepted per district. See Ms. Murray for a paper application to be considered.

Deadline: February 21, 2010

The Patriot Guard Riders Scholarship

The Patriot Guard Riders of Missouri are offering four scholarships to Missouri students who are sons or daughters of those who fall within the following categories:

Missouri State Society Daughters of the American Revolution

MSSDAR Scholarship--$2000 scholarship for a student pursuring any degree

Irene and Leeta Wagy Memorial Scholarship--$1000 scholarship award to a student pursuing a degree in education.

Dorothy Poikert Memoral Scholarship--$500 scholarship awarded to a student pursuing a degree in business.

Evangel University Founders Scholarship

Must be an admitted First-Time Freshman with a minimum 24 ACT. Must be attending Evangel. Interview required. Bronze Scholarship, $13,000; Gold, $15,000; Platinum, $21,000.

OTC Scholarships

IF you are planning to attend OTC, you need to apply for their institutional scholarships which help pay for books and other incidental fees which are not paid for by A+ funds.

3. Community Merit Scholarship (2.75 GPA, school and community involvement)

4. Leadership Book Scholarship--$1500 annually renewable; Good for purchases at OTC Bookstore for books and supplies. Looking for a leader well respected by peers and teachers. GPA not a factor.

5. FAFSA FRENZY Scholarship. Attend the FAFSA Frenzy to complete your FAFSA on November 21 from 5-7 p.m. at the Springfield Campus (Information Commons building, first floor) and be eligible for a $500 scholarship. More info on journeytocollege.mo.gov/fafsa-frenzy.

Norma Loveland Memorial Scholarship 2019

Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA, been involved in local school and community activities, and have financial need. Award is $1000 nonrenewable. Essay required.

Love Like Cole Scholarship

Awarded to a student pursuing an education in career and technical schools. $1000 scholarship.

CHRISTIAN COUNTY RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL SCHOLARSHIP

Applicant must be pursuing a degree in Teacher Education at an accredited college or university. Must be active in extracurricular activities, and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Essay required along with two letters of recommendations. See Ms. Murray for the application.

Deadline: Apply Janaury 2020.

 

Margaret Looney Trojan Pride "Dress Down" Scholarship

Applicant Must have 2.75 GPA, have been involved in local school and community activities, and financial need. Essay required. Two $500 scholarships.

Deadline: Apply March 2020.

Sparta Community Business Scholarship

Applicant must have a 2.75 GPA, been involved in local school and community activities and have financial need. Essay required. Amount varies by year. One non-renewable.

Deadeline: Apply March 2020.

White River Valley Electric Trust Scholarship Program--RENEWABLE for 4 years. $1000 per year.

Applicant must reside in WRVEC's service territory, have financial need and complete application which includes a letter or recommendation, a 2.5 GPA or higher and seriousness of purpose. Two hundred word essay also required.
